As for a general history of the area, this is our best approximation of the truth as we have pieced it together from oral and written sources. Please email us if you have better or more accurate information than this.

This area of the island (about 6000 acres worth) was owned by the Arthur Lyman family who did the original development in the Kapoho area. As developers, they chose the best ocean front properties for themselves and built our home in the late 1950's . The Lagoon House is considered to have the best swimming pond among a couple of dozen ponds in Kapoho Beach.
