We have had a wonderful time here! The lagoon is so much fun to swim in. The fish are so pretty! We love feeding Puffy snails! Feeding and swimming with the fish is a unique experience. We even saw 4 turtles in Champagne Pond! I loved the Lagoon House and wish I could stay here longer! - Allie 10 years old
Allie said it all – Thank you Ann & Richard for allowing us to enjoy your Piece of Paradise. We hope to pass this way again. - David

Arrived at night to hand-written notes, 4 bouquets, exotic star fruits & toads hopping across the front yard in the rain! And it just got better from there. I won’t even try to express how fantastic this “secret” place is. We found turtles, tons of exotic fish, and eels, yes eels. Many kids in this journal expressed their dislike of eels. Embrace the eel! Love the eel! Ells are cool. Eels are cooler than puffer fish! And they love dog food…
Bring all your own food, and never leave this place… Swim at night. And if you go out on the front lawn at night when the sky is clear, you will see the Milky Way band and more stars than you can believe.
We were lucky enough to meet the owners. To meet them is to know why this place is such a special value.
Till we meet again [soon!] – Thank you.

This house and its surroundings are beyond all expectations. Hour after hour of enjoyment, inside and out. We will all remember our all-too-short time at Lagoon House. I will help spread the word.

Mahalo Ann and Richard for sharing your lovely home with us. My nieces were very relieved that their first experience with snorkeling was in an area with beautiful fish and NO SHARKS! The sea turtles in Champagne Pond were awesome! Every morning we would snorkel out there with the underwater digital camera and take a ton of pictures looking for the perfect photo of them. We have plenty to choose from.
We took a few trips to VNP and walked the 4-mile loop trail across the crater. It was definitely worth doing. On Sunday evening, we drove to see the lava flow and were lucky to see another flow up on a ridge that had just started 2 days before. Best to see it during sunset. Thanks for the use of the flashlights, too!
On Monday, June 30th, we were amazed at how high the tide was. Snorkeling at different times of the day you get the opportunity to notice something you hadn’t seen earlier. Although we did do a lot in the area, there is still some we would like to see. Again, Mahalo!

Dear Ann and Richard,
We have had such a wonderful time this week! This truly is a Piece of Paradise and we will definitely come back! In fact, our boys (7, 5 &3) have requested that we move here! We have grown fond of our routines here – collecting snails and counting the turtles in Champagne Pond every morning, feeding the fish every morning and afternoon, especially Puffy, and playing games every afternoon.
Our boys also watched the Wizard of Oz for the first time and loved it! We watched it several times this week. We also loved the Nat’l Volcanoes Park and watching the lava flow into the ocean at night. While at Nat’l Volcanoes Park, we discovered cave exploring too, so when the boys are a little older we look forward to exploring some of the other lava tubes around the island. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful house with us!

Ann and Richard – we are so happy we were able to stay here! Puffy was fantastic (and so were all of the fish)! And also thank you for sharing your Uncle Ray’s memorabilia with us. It is something we shall treasure in our home in Texas. Keep “Igniting your Creative Energy”!
